About Buying Items on Collexpo:

Collexpo offers many ways to find interesting items to buy. Here are the primary ways:

1. Item Browser – the browser is designed to allow very specific categorization of items in a way that appeals to experienced collectors. All items HIGHLIGHTED GREEN will have listings beneath them.

a. Simply click through the boxes, left to right, to narrow your search down to the desired item.

b. All green items have listings for sale.

c. Once you identify an item for sale, note the blue buttons which let you see a gallery of all items for sale in that category.

2. Search – search by typing desired terms into the search box below the browser or at the top right of any page.

a. Note your search will only apply to the market in which you initiate the search. For example, if you are in the baseball card market, a search for “Peyton Manning” is unlikely to return meaningful results.

3. My Recommendations page – in the Buy menu, click the link for My Recommendations. This page will show you a gallery of items matching your collecting interests.

a. We determine your interests by analyzing the items in your online collection. To refine your recommendations, make sure your online collection reflects your true interests.

4. Premium Stores – there are links to premium stores throughout the site. You can also see a list of all premium stores from the Premium Stores link in the Buy menu.

a. Each preferred seller has a Premium store. These are the largest and most trusted sellers on Collexpo and will most often have the most robust inventory.

b. Most sellers also use the Profile page to describe their policies and inventory focus. Always checkout this information when shopping with a given seller.

Shipping Discounts:

All sellers offer shipping discounts to those customers who buy multiple items within a 24 hour period. The system will automatically apply the appropriate discount to your charges. Generally speaking, the first purchased item will charge full shipping, but thereafter, shipping will be free on any item you buy in the next 24 hours.
